Man held for fatal stabbing
Johannesburg – A 25-year-old man has been arrested for alleged murder that took place at corner Von Wielligh and Albert streets in the evening of 13 August, according to police.
Police spokesperson Captain Xoli Mbele said the man allegedly stabbed a 40-year-old man once in the upper body.
“The victim was taken to hospital in a private vehicle and was declared dead on arrival. The suspect was arrested at the Emaxhoseni informal settlement at corner Delvers and Melrose streets. The motive for the killing is not yet known and investigation is under way,” Mbele said.
