Inner-City Gazette Wins at 2024 South African Heroes Awards
We are thrilled to announce that Inner-City Gazette has been recognized as Community Media of the Year at the 2024 South African Heroes Awards (SAHAs) held on Saturday, 21 September 2024, at Johannesburg’s iconic Market Theatre. This achievement is a reflection of our commitment to serving the vibrant communities of Johannesburg’s inner city, and we couldn’t have done it without your incredible support.
Since its establishment in 2009 by the late journalist and publisher Moses Moyo, the Inner-City Gazette has remained the number one local newspaper for the people of Johannesburg Inner-City, with a readership of 50,000. Our distribution spans Johannesburg CBD, Marshalltown, Newtown, Braamfontein, Hilbrow, Berea, Yeoville, Maboneng, Jeppe, Doornfontein, Jules, Turfontein, Rosettenville, and Fordsburg. This award strengthens our resolve to continue amplifying your voices and delivering quality journalism that reflects your stories.
