Angry Westbury Residents took to the streets in the early hours of Monday morning protesting high levels of gangsterism and alleged drug dealing in the area., barricading roads and fought running battles with the police. Tampers flared after a woman was shot nine times in a cross fire. “The police are trigger-happy; that’s why this group is throwing rocks,” said residents who in turn retaliated by throwing stones at the police.
