Chinese Scholarship Opportunity for South African Youth

South African matric graduates now have an exciting chance to pursue their academic dreams through an international scholarship program in China for 2024/2025.

This opportunity is brought to you by the Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Centre (CCIEEC), in partnership with the Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA) and the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA).

The scholarship program aims to develop South African youth by offering access to world-class education, enhancing employability, and preparing them for a competitive global job market. It provides funding for various diploma and bachelor’s degree programs in diverse fields, ensuring a solid foundation for future careers.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a South African citizen.
2. Have completed matric prior to 2024.
3. Be unemployed at the time of application.
4. Be between the ages of 18 and 25.
5. Show a willingness to commit to the full duration of the program in China.
6. Be adaptable to new cultural and academic environments.
7. Have no criminal record.
8. Be medically fit for international travel.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship covers tuition fees, annual return flights, shared accommodation, and an allowance. Additional support includes visa applications, transportation in China, and hospital insurance.

Application Process

Applications are open from 14 November 2024 and close on 14 December 2024. Follow these steps to apply:

2. Complete the online application form and upload the required documents, which include:

• A certified ID copy (not older than six months).

• A certified matric certificate (not older than six months).

• Proof of residence.

• Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
