Supersport welcome centre back

SuperSport United have welcomed Kevin Moyo, a Zimbabwean national team defender into their ranks as they prepare for the new season, as he has arrived at the club.
FC PLATINUM and Warriors defender Kelvin Moyo’s quest to land a move to the South African Premiership is edging ever closer, with reports suggesting a number of clubs are inquiring about his availability.

Player agent Gibson Mahachi also revealed at an earlier stage that Baroka FC were also interested in Moyo amongst a number of other clubs.
“Kelvin is an FC Platinum player and his club is best positioned to comment about their player, talk to them they will give you a proper position.
“Yes, it is true that many clubs in South Africa are interested in him, it is not only one club that wants him but there are a number.
“I cannot tell you the names of the clubs that are interested in his services for professional reasons, it is still premature,” he said.

Moyo charmed scouts after providing an important defensive solidity that powered the Warriors to a sixth COSAFA Cup title.
The 25-year-old was early this year reportedly a transfer target for compatriot Kaitano “Ngwenya” Tembo at Supersport United.

However, the defender, a Highlanders youth graduate, is determined to collect maximum points against his boyhood club at Mandava this afternoon.
The 25-year-old defender is said to have left Zimbabwe for Mzansi, and the Siya crew can confirm that he began training with the club a little later in the week. Moyo is now trying to persuade Kaitano Tembo that he is deserving of a deal in the Absa Premiership.

SuperSport are known to be on the lookout for a new centre back following the exit of Denwin Farmer for Maritzburg United, especially given the age of their two main central defenders, Morgan Gould and Clayton Daniels.
It is thought that Moyo will be given around two weeks to stake his claim for a deal with Matsatsantsa, although at this point in time, there has been no indication as to whether that will happen or not.
