Standard Bank Business and Commercial Banking returns as a proud sponsor of the Women in Business Awards, celebrating female entrepreneurial excellence with R500,000 grand prize

Standard Bank is proud to announce its continued partnership with the South African Future Trust as the official sponsor of the Women in Business Award for the second consecutive year. This prestigious recognition celebrates the extraordinary achievements of female entrepreneurs who demonstrate resilience, innovation, and leadership in driving South Africa’s economic growth.

The South African Future Trust Awards honour the relentless determination of entrepreneurs across six distinct categories: Youth Entrepreneur, Social Entrepreneur, Tech Entrepreneur, Woman in Business, Innovative Idea, and Optimised Operating Model (OOM) Impact. Each category recognises business leaders who push through challenges and overcome obstacles to create meaningful impact in their industries and communities.

The Women in Business Award specifically acknowledges female entrepreneurs who have overcome barriers, fostered inclusivity, and supported other women while making significant contributions to their industries. This award celebrates the unique leadership qualities and resilience that women bring to the entrepreneurial landscape.

The Women in Business Award winner will receive a R500,000 grand prize geared at accelerating business growth and impact. The prize includes:

  • A R250,000 cash injection for immediate business development
  • A R250,000 support package featuring mentorship from seasoned industry leaders
  • Cutting-edge hardware and essential business resources
  • Strategic guidance to scale operations and accelerate her business trajectory

This holistic approach ensures winners receive both the financial resources and expert guidance necessary to take their businesses to the next level.

Entrepreneurs can apply for all South African Future Trust Awards categories until 31 July 2025. Female business leaders are encouraged to showcase their achievements, impact, and vision through the application process.
