P.S. is Spreading the Love this Valentine’s Day with a Braam Takeover

On February 14, Cadbury P.S. hosted a vibrant event in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, celebrating love and art. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of two murals created by local artist Tebogo Phafudi. The murals, splashed across De Beer Street and the Great Dane building, beautifully capture the essence of love in all its forms – romantic, platonic, and self-love
Tebogo Phafudi inspiration behind the murals was to bring happiness and joy through bright colors, reflecting the lively spirit of the Braamfontein community. His art aims to inspire emotions, connections, and a sense of belonging. The murals are more than just art; they’re a form of storytelling that celebrates diversity, love, and unity
The event at The Playground in Braamfontein featured:
– Live Music: DJs Malumz on Decks and DJ Pedabotic performed, setting the tone for a fun-filled day.
– Food and Drinks: Vendors offered a variety of eats and treats, adding to the festive atmosphere.
– “Shoot Your Shot” Hoop Challenge: Participants had a chance to showcase their skills and win prizes.
– Giveaways and Prizes: Attendees could win exciting prizes, including a grand trip to Zanzibar.
Tebogo Phafudi is a visual artist, he aslo do Wall Murals,Portrait,Banners,Grafity and T-shirt printing.it took 7 days to pulled out the project in two buildings. He has been an artist since he was young, his father inspired him.’’ To the upcoming artist they must never give up to be an artist it’s a bit challenging but they must continue with their passion, everything starts small as you struggle continue.”
Tebogo Phafudi murals will remain a lasting legacy of the event, serving as a daily reminder of love, culture, and creative expression in Braamfontein. As the artist said, “Art, love, and culture are one and the same”
